Living life in the Adirondacks use to seem boring to me. I resented the smallness of the area, the fact that I had and have spent 95% of my life living within a 5 mile radius of my childhood home. As the impetuous nature of teenage knowledge slowly transformed into the calmness of adult wisdom, all of that changed.
Now, this area inspires me. Not a day passes that I don’t appreciate the way the sun hits the leaves of a summer tree, or how every individual snowflake combines to form a soft, noise-dampening blanket. These mountains that I once took for granted are what feeds my creativity, and that is the inspiration behind Northern Lake.
